Bare concentric-lay-stranded aluminium wires constructed with a straight round central aluminum wire surrounded by one or more layers of helically laid aluminium wires.
The most commonly used stranding consists of 7, 19, 37, 61 and 91 wires.
In all constructions, the successive layers shall have opposite directions of lay, the outermost layer being right-handed.

ACSR conductor,it has simple structure,convenient setting and maintenance,low line cost, large transmission capacity and favorable laying of special geographical conditions.
It has good electrical conductivity ,sufficient mechanical strength,Tower distance can be enlarged.

most favoured overhead bare homogeneous conductors for primary and secondary distribution lines with relatively short spans where high mechanical strength is not required.
