What is XLPE insulated power cable?
XLPE insulated power cable has a number of advantages than paper insulted and PVC insulated cables. XLPE cable has high electric strength, mechanical strength, high-ageing resistance, environment stress resisting anti-chemical corrosion, and it is simple construction, using convenient and higher operating of long term temperature. It can be laid with no drop restriction.
XLPE cable advantages:
XLPE cable have higher long-term working temperature and greater current rating, and under the condition of the same environment, XLPE cable may be reduced size (normal cross section) 1 or 2 class in comparison with paper and PVC cable. These are not only improving the quality and properties of products, but also reduce cables' production cost.
XLPE insulated power cable is used to transmit and distribute power for the power transmission and distribution system of 35kV or lower. It is generally applied in the fields of power, construction, mine, metallurgy, petrochemical industry and communication. It completely replaces the oil immersed paper insulated power cable and partiallyreplaces the PVC insulated power cable.
