1. SCOPE
1.1 This specification is for LV PVC insulated single phase concentric cables with embedded communication cables to be used by KPLC for split prepayment metering. The cable shall carry both power and data in a single cable and shall have circular stranded aluminum conductors insulated for operation up to and including 1000 Volts between phases and 600 Volts to earth, concentric layers comprising of a blue PVC covered aluminum wires (combined neutral-earth conductor) and PVC insulated Two (2)-cores copper cables for data communication complete with a black PVC outer sheath.
1.2 The specification also covers inspection and test of the cables as well as schedule of guaranteed technical particulars to be filled, signed by the manufacturer and submitted for tender evaluation.
