Aluminum triplex wire
1. Constructive features.
The twisted triplex conductors are composed of two insulated conductors, a conductor naked braided together.
1.1 Phase conductors
The materials used in the construction of the phase conductors are of the AAC type,
They will be formed by aluminum wires 1350-H19, which will comply with the provisions of ASTM B 230 standard.
1.2 Neutral conductors
As for the conductors that form the neutral, they will be bare and will be formed by AAAC aluminum alloy wires, class A, as established in the ASTM B standard 399
1.3 Isolating material
For phase conductors, the insulating cover shall be made of cross-linked polyethylene (UV-XLPE) with protection against ultra violet (UV) rays, for a working temperature of 90 ° C and will be constituted by a black extruded layer, which must be easily separable from the driver. Regarding the protection against UV rays, it must have a black content of Cover smoke of 2% by mass and must satisfy the tests required by the standard ASTM D4218.
The insulation will be rated voltage of 1,000 V and will ensure good resistance to weather actions.
The insulation must comply with ASTM D 790, D 1248, D2655 and D2656.
1.4 Braided
To make the braiding of the conductors, it will have to be fulfilled that for a braid of 3 drivers, drivers must take a full turn with a maximum distance of 35 times the diameter of the conductor.
