Constructions

Conductor: Circular stranded copper conductor, conforms to IEC 60228 class 2

Insulation: XLPE/A

Inner Covering: PVC

Armour: Galvanized Steel Amour Wire or tape 

Sheath: PVC type ST2 to IEC 60502, black

Note: Insulation color as per standards or customer requirement

 

 

Applications

Used for Power transmission and distribution line with voltage rated at 35kv and below. Compared with PVC Insulated Power cable, XLPE power cable boasts not only characteristics of excellent electricity, mechanism , heat and aging- resistant, environment stress-resistant and chemical corrosion resistant, but also simple structure, light weight, 

no restriction by laying drop, and high temperature allowance for long term working.

For Layling indoors and outdoors. Able to bear certain traction during installation, but not external mechanical forces. Standards

Max. Conductor Temp.: normal (90°C), short circuit no more than 5 s (160°C when section-area below 300mm2, 140°C when section-area above 300mm2)

Min. Ambient Temp.:The cable shall be pre heated if the ambient temperature is below 0°C

Min. Bending Radius: single core cable 20(d+D)±5%

                    Multi-core cable 15(d+D)±5%

 

Application characteristics:

1. Long term working temperature is up to 90℃.

2. The highest conductor temperature is not more than 250℃.(lasting time not over 5 seconds.)

3. Laying temperature not less than 0℃ and the drop height is out of consideration.

4. The cable with chemical stability, anti acid, anti alkali, and oil, anti organic solvent, not easy to be burning.

5. Easy for installation, easy beading and light.

The cable with Category A rated voltage is used in the situation requiring not over 1 min. of grounding fault lasting time. For the cable with Category B rated voltage, the grounding fault lasting time normally is not over 1 hour, max. lasting time is not over 8 hours, annual ground fault lasting time altogether should not be over 125 hours, Category C includes all the system expect Category A and B.
