1). Standard: IEC61089, BS215 part2, ASTM B232, DIN48204, BS EN50182.

2). Construction: ACSR is composed by bare concentric-lay-stranded galvanized steel wire(s) with aluminum wires surrounded by one or more layers of helically. Greased ACSR can also be supplied.

Aluminum alloy 1350-H-19 wires, concentrically stranded about a steel core. Core wire for ACSR is available with class A, B, or C galvanizing; ""aluminized"" aluminum coated (AZ); Or aluminum-clad (AW). Additional corrosion protection is available through the application of grease to the corer or infusion of the complete cable with grease.

3). Application: ACSR is widely used in overhead electric power transmission and distribution lines with various voltage levels.

Application

The quadruplex cables are suitable for use as drop cable from a pole-mounted transformer,to the service entrance of a structure,or as secondary distribution between poles.The cables should be limited to the voltages of 600 volts or less (phase to phase) at conductor temperatures not to exceed 75°C for polyethylene insulation conductors or 90°C for crosslinked polyethylene(XLPE) insulated conductors.

CONSTRUCTION

The phase conductors are concentrically stranded compressed 1350-H19 aluminum and insulated polyethylene or crosslinked polyethylene(XLPE), The neutral messengers are concentrically stranded AAC, ACSR, or 6201 aluminum alloy.The conductors are manufactured with ridges for phase identification(one conductor with one ridge,one conductor with two ridges ,one conductor is plain).

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

APPLICATIONS

Conductor(AAC,AAAC and ACSR) electronic cable have been widely used in power transmission lines with various voltage levels,because they have such good characteristics as simple structure,convenient installation and maintenance,low cost large transmission capacity.And they are also suitable for laying across rivers valleys and the places where special geographical features exist.

SERVICE PERFORMANCE

1.The permissible long-time operating temperature for aerial conductor cable is 70oC.

2.Under the circumstance that rare climate is occuring and ice coverage rate low in heavy ice area,the biggest stress of cable at the lowest point of the sag should not exceed 60% of the short-time destructive power.

3.When connecting conductors,the AAC conductor electronic cable beside the connecting tube cant be prominent.Otherwise,the force on the operating conductors will be unbalanced.After connectors are install,the connecting tube should be painted by moisture-proof varnish in order to protect it from corrosion.

4.Under installaion,the arc downing stress of all the conductors should be the same.With in the permissible distance of crossing buildings or dropping to the ground,the stress can be 10-15% higher than regular stress.

MATERIAL STANDARD

1.The hard aluminum conductor used for AAC and ACSR conforms to the standard GB/T 17048-1997(equivalent to IEC 60889:1987).

2.The zinc coated steel wire used for ACSR conforms to IEC 60888:1987.

All Aluminum-Alloy Conductors (AAAC) is a concentric-lay-stranded conductor consisting of aluminum-alloy wires available in both single layer and multi-layer constructions.

APPLICATION OF AAAC CABLE

All Aluminum-Alloy Conductors (AAAC) can be used in Medium, High and Extra-High voltage transmission lines. AAAC offers better sag performance due to the high strength-to-weight ratio provided by the aluminum-alloy. In addition, AAAC provides a higher corrosion resistance than ACSR conductors.
