DESCRIPCIÓN

Cable eléctrico formado por un conjunto de varios conductores de aluminio grado eléctrico, cableados compactos, cada uno con aislamiento de un compuesto especial de polietileno reticulado (XLPE) resistente a la intemperie, trenzados alrededor de un elemento portante formado por una cuerda de aleación de aluminio con ó sin aislamiento de XLPE que cumple también la función de conductor neutro.
El conjunto puede incorporar también uno o más conductores aislados adicionales para alumbrado público.

IDENTIFICACIÓN DE CONDUCTORES

Cada conductor de fase se identifica con marcas extruidas sobre el aislante (1 marca para fase 1, 2 marcas para fase 2 y 3 marcas para fase 3).
Cuando se solicite 2 conductores adicionales de igual sección uno de ellos se identifica con 4 marcas.

APLICACIÓN

Los cables Autoportantes Multi-Conductores de Aluminio, CAAI, se emplean para redes aéreas de distribución de energía eléctrica de bajo costo, en zonas urbanas y rurales.
Se instalan tanto en postes como adosados a muros, en ambos casos, con los debidos accesorios. No requieren el uso de aisladores.

TENSIÓN DE DISEÑO

U0 / U = 0,6/1 KV
TEMPERATURA DE OPERACIÓN
90º C en el conductor, para operación continua.
130ºC en condiciones de emergencia.
250ºC en condiciones de corto circuito.

PRECAUCIONES ESPECIALES
Se recomienda no emplear estos cables en zonas de ambiente salino o contaminado, dada la escasa resistencia a la corrosión del aluminio.
Las derivaciones y conexiones con cables de cobre deben hacerse mediante el empleo de técnicas adecuadas.
Durante las labores de instalación debe cuidarse de no dañar la superficie del cable.

Application

Aerial Bundle Cable (ABC cable) is a very innovative concept for overhead power distribution as compared to the conventional bare conductor overhead distribution system.

It provides higher level of safety and reliability, lower power losses and ultimate system economy by reducing installation, maintenance and operative cost.

Caledonian LV Aerial Bundle Cables are designed to supply 600/1000 volt aerial service for temporary service at construction sites, as a service drop (power pole to service entrance), as a secondary cable (pole to pole) or street lighting.

This over-head cable provides reinforced insulation acc. IEC 61140 and fulfill therefore Class II acc. IEC 61140. It is not flame retardant. But this could be if requested change to a flame retardant cable.

Basic design to BS 7870 / TNB Specification(IEC 60502) / HD 626 S1 / NFC 33-209 / AS/NZS 3560-1 standards
